I spent the majority of my life consumed by food – constantly trying to control what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat, and how much compensation I had to engage in so that I “deserved” to eat.

When I realized I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, I committed to recovery and mentally prepared myself for weight gain…but I had NOT prepared myself for Extreme Hunger.

After gaining a significant amount of weight at the start of my eating disorder recovery journey, my constant mental hunger received a new physical layer: I was no longer just obsessing over food mentally, but my body was now screaming for it as well! The best way to describe it, was as if I had been overtaken by some kind of wave – a wave of endless hunger that swept me up and wasn’t going to put me down until I honored every single hint of desire I had for food.

At first, I tried to ignore it, just has I had conditioned my brain to distract myself from the mental hunger for so many years. I ate my perfectly portioned meals and stuck to my usual routine of “clean” and “healthy” foods…. but the more I tried to control the food, the more the food controlled me.

By hiding the peanut butter jar, freezing the chocolate cake in pre-portioned slices, and eating Cookies ‘n Cream Quest bars instead of Oreos, I was simply trying to fix the symptoms of this “food addiction” I feared I was developing. I was putting a band-aid on my problems, instead of addressing the root cause of this maddening and deep desire for endless food. I thought I was the problem. I thought I would never stop eating.

Until I did. For the first time in almost a decade, I experienced what it felt like to feel truly satisfied. I no longer needed to keep “binge foods” out of the house and finally had SPACE in my mind to engage in activities that actually brought me joy (and still do!). About your teacher!

Hi, I’m Livia! But you can call me Liv :) I’m a daughter, a sister, an entrepreneur, and an autistic advocate…but most importantly, I’m Liv Label Free.

I’m also fully recovered from 7+ years of anorexia, orthorexia, and exercise bulimia, and my life’s mission is to inspire others to do the same. 

Years ago, I was my eating disorder. My entire life (or rather mere survival) revolved around food and exercise. At the age of 15, I was even told that I would just have to learn to “manage” this illness for the rest of my life.

My inner drive to prove the “professionals” wrong led me to do my own research, become obsessed with human biology, and gain an incredible understanding of the beautiful ways in which our body dances to the beat of its mental & physical systems.

My passion is fueled from the results my clients get, by taking a holistic approach to recovery (and life!) and seeing you for YOU rather than just another sick patient.

Over the course of 8 weeks, you will be LEARNING & taking inspired ACTION so you can finally reach a place of full satisfaction! So what's each week all about?

Week 1

Limiting beliefs

Discover what’s holding you back & shift your mindset around the possibility of overcoming extreme hunger and achieving full recovery.

Week 2

The Biology of Extreme Hunger

A deep dive into the SCIENCE behind extreme hunger and why the body reacts the way it does. You’ll gain an understanding of the brain’s reaction to restriction, how this influences the energetic balance of the body, and why extreme hunger occurs when it does. Then, you’ll see this biological response in ACTION as we look at scientific studies that illustrate the impact of diet, stress, and other factors in developing certain behaviors around food and cravings for high-calorie food.

Week 3

Types of Extreme Hunger

Extreme hunger is NOT just physical! Learn to identify the different ways in which the body communicates hunger, the importance of each one, and how you can honor your hunger without judgement.

Week 4

Restriction

Discover over 15 different ways in which you may be (unconsciously) restricting and why it’s absolutely crucial to eliminate each and every one. Besides the classic dietary restriction, we dive into comparison, rules around timing, meal plans, volume eating, difficulty spending money, and MORE!

Week 5

Unrestricted Eating

What does it really mean to eat without restriction? You’ll learn exactly what it means to eat without rules, why it matters, and for how long you need to do so to overcome extreme hunger. You’ll also learn to distinguish Extreme Hunger from Binge Eating Disorder, why it’s easier to eat at night, and how to STOP eating at night. Lastly, we dive into what the best foods are to really feel satisfied, as well as why you crave so much high-calorie food and what to eat after a binge.

Week 6

Weight Gain

One of the hardest parts of recovery! This module dives into anything and everything around the topic of weight gain, including BMI & goal weights, how to determine your ideal bodyweight, what it means to be weight restored, why you experience extreme hunger after gaining weight, the importance of overshoot in recovery, and how long weight redistribution takes.

Week 7

Other Bodily Changes

Besides weight gain, there are SO many changes that happen when you honor your extreme hunger. When it comes to digestive issues, you’ll learn the science behind bloating, nausea, cramping, gas, constipation, diarrhea, and acid reflux, and gain practical tips to relieve digestive distress. This module also explains how hormones work, as well as how your hormones will be impacted during your recovery journey. This will include your hunger & fullness hormones, reproductive hormones, the reason for hypermetabolism, mood swings, and why you may feel very HOT when experiencing extreme hunger!

Week 8

Becoming Label Free

Because this IS a course created by me, miss Liv Label Free! You’ll learn how labels act as barriers in reaching full recovery, how to stop feeling guilty, and how to release labels so you can finally adopt the satisfaction mindset you deserve.
